I wouldn't try to define where in Bloom's I would put Second Life, Flickr or Mind Mapping because quite frankly I think that that would be putting limitations on their capabilities on the application or even on the student using them.
Throughout this course I have had two things constantly play on my mind, how do we ensure security for children on the web as I believe they are vulnerable and also how do we work smarter not harder.
As a 46 year old teacher I think that it is imperative to continually review what is on off on the web that may be of assistance to our students as they need to be motivated and challenged just like we do.
I saw with great interest the Blooms application for iPads. We have just taken delivery of some at school this term and will roll them out next term so I am looking forward to sharing with the staff what I have found. (Smarter not harder)

Module Five
I have started using Glogster in my Year 2 class and the students are enjoying it. They learnt how to create Powerpoint in Term 1 with the help of their buddies in Year 6. Of interest this term (4) one of my gifted students said that he didn't want to do a powerpoint because it wasn't exciting to him anymore. I think that on Monday I will introduce him to prezi and ask him to explore it to see if it suits his learning style. (Double labeled gifted and Autism). Having to link to the internet to show a video from the internet is a little problem as we like many other schools have a problem with technology not always being up to standard and accessible when necessary.
